Why I Chose The Song

It's funny, because when I choose my songs - I am actually making an effort to put some meaning behind them. I'm not just choosing them because I like this song.

The reason I chose this song, in particular was because as American Idols we have a responsibility to act as role models for all the fans and all the kids that watch the show. And I feel that without having role models, what do the youth of American have to aspire too?

Also, I chose this song because it was such a weird twist for a band like KISS, known to "rock and rolling all night and party every day' to take a step into the disco genre. Just like this is kind of a far step from where I'd normally be with contemporary folky pop.

And finally, I chose this song ... because I like it

This to me isn't Disco but it is. It is such a bizarre song choice. I just do not understand why you choose a rock song again? This isn't you. It is better that last week but still not up to par.

Like Kara said, it's like a weird balance of disco and rock. It's not your normal disco that's for sure. This definitely is a step up from last week, so that's good. But yeah it's wasn't amazing for me.

Well I'm glad it's better than last week.

But you also need to realize how to learn to think outside of the box. Again the song was well within Chris' range and had a solid melody to it.

I apologize, but I absolutely refuse to do cookie cutter Jason Mraz songs every week (even if he is one of my favorite artists.)
